Why I love Golden Acrylic paints
Golden paints are one of the top quality artist’s acrylic available and I love using them-they are rich in colour, creamy and smooth in consistency-they’re like an artists dream!
Alongside Golden acrylics I also like Liquitex. I started using Golden acrylics in my late days of painting after watching Jonas Gerard, an American painter. I loved how intense the colours are and could not wait to get my hands on some. I was not disappointed.
Golden artist colours offers a lot more then just paint. They offer several kinds of acrylics, as well as gels and mediums that take acrylic painting to a whole new level.
I’ll now tell you about 4 different types of Golden paints:
Golden Fluid Acrylics (my personal favourite)
Golden fluid acrylics have an extremely high pigment load, which means the colours are bold an intense. Fluid acrylics flow smoothly and evenly from your brush which is ideal for creating uniform brushstrokes.
These acrylics are ideal for thinner painting styles. If a thicker consistency is required, Golden fluid acrylics can be thickened with gels or mediums. They can also be mixed with all of Golden’s other mediums to create various special effects.
Because of the high pigment concentration, a little goes a long way-providing great value for your money. You can get a lot of surface coverage from just one tiny bottle.
Golden Heavy Body Artist Acrylics
The first acrylic colours offered by Golden, heavy body paints are known for their exceptionally smooth, buttery consistency. The heavy body palette includes the largest assortment of unique pure pigments in a 100% acrylic emulsion available to professional artists. These colours offer excellent permanency and light-fastness. There are no fillers, extenders, tones, or dyes added.
Each heavy body colour formula reflects the qualities of its pigment. Colours that tolerate a higher pigment load dry to a more opaque, matte finish. Colours that are more reactive and do not allow as much pigment loading tend to have a much glossier, more transparent finish. Because heavy body colours contain no mauling agents, the gloss of each colour will be different.
